Class size
At HEAD, we pride ourselves on the proximity of our professors and students. Therefore, class size is limited to no more than 40 students per class.
Law clinic and pro bono programs
Candidates for the LLM in Law and Business are eligible to participate in HEAD’s highly successful law clinic. This program provides our students with the opportunity to work in collaboration with budding entrepreneurs from France’s prestigious Ecole Polytechnique and the association La Ruche. Students are thus able to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have acquired, and to contribute to the realization of projects having great potential. In addition, HEAD Law School is strongly committed to encouraging the use of law for humanitarian purposes. Therefore, HEAD supports several non-profit organizations in which students involve themselves on a weekly basis. The pro bono programs established with these organizations give students an opportunity to excel in an uncompetitive environment, while helping those in need.
Individualized support ; mentor
At HEAD, each student receives individualized support from the staff, and has the opportunity to seek advice from professors and practitioners with whom they interact throughout the year. Moreover, HEAD Law School has entered into partnerships with over 40 companies and law firms. A personal mentor, drawn from among these partners, is attributed to each student in accordance with his or her professional ambitions. During monthly meetings throughout the year, mentors provide insightful advice to help students in the development and implementation of their professional objectives.
Additional opportunities
At HEAD we encourage students to take advantage of a plethora of opportunities to enhance their skill set, including by participating in international competitions and joining European associations.
A strong link to the professional world
Building a network is essential in the professional world. At HEAD, we promote a high level of interaction among our students and real-world role models including prominent lawyers, in-house counsel, business leaders and entrepreneurs throughout the year such that our students have the opportunity to establish valuable contacts. This interaction takes place on multiple dimensions including in the classroom, at lectures, through our mentoring program and participation in the Law Clinic, and as a result of other activities where our students rub shoulders with professionals from our various partners, such as organized visits of law firms and global companies. Finally, the alumni association, HEAD Alumni, allows students to meet and to interact with HEAD alumni, which is a critical first step in the building of a professional network in France and abroad.
