LL.M. in Mergers & Acquisitions

The LLM in Mergers and Acquisitions is available to students who have earned a graduate degree in law, or an MBA or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university in France or abroad.  Unique in France, this program offers an in-depth legal education, and a panoramic view of the world of mergers and acquisitions.  Students gain an understanding of the challenges of, and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to, a legal practice in this area.

Students acquire a legal and business expertise that prepares them not only to work in, but more importantly to be immediately operational in, leading international law firms and multi-national companies.

This LLM program is taught in bilingual (French/English) course of study.

Merger and acquisition transactions require a perfect mastery of diverse disciplines and a tremendously open mind.  HEAD’s pragmatic and multidisciplinary approach allows its students to learn about this fascinating universe at the heart of company life.

Emmanuel Brochier, Partner, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier

The M&A Mastère of HEAD allowed me to understand better the challenges that are inherent to this area, and was instrumental in my obtaining an internship in the area of M&A in one of the most prestigious international law firms in Paris.

For the 2019-2020 academic year, the tuition fee for international students is 15,800 euros. This amount includes all HEAD courses and conferences. Note that additional fees may be incurred for French language courses and individual tutoring.  Free computer and high-speed WI-FI internet access is available on-site.

International students may opt to remain in Paris for an additional 6-month period to pursue an internship. Students choosing to take that option will benefit from the advice and guidance of HEAD’s career placement office, and will incur additional administrative and enrollment fees of 700 euros.

A personal mentor, chosen from partner lawyers and in-house counsel, is also allocated to each student in accordance with their professional ambitions. During monthly meetings, mentors provide valuable advice and help students define their career plans and especially their choice of internship.

Studies are mainly financed by bank loans. Graduate scholarships or guarantees for student loans can be awarded according to means and merit.
